Thinking and Architecture of Software Development of BIM-Based Cost

BIM software is the basement of the BIM technology to achieve its benefits through application. However, the domestic BIM core modeling software currently available in China is always foreign software. Considering that foreign BIM software is always unapplicable in cost analysis, while domestic software is not based on BIM, it is becoming really significant to develop a domestic professional BIM software on cost analysis in China. This paper proposes a new concept of "model calculation + template pricing" that can pick up "components"(referring to components that make up the model) as the core pricing unit, and discusses the software architecture and technology implementation, which is aiming at the implementation of attaching the cost dimension information that confirms BIM standard to the type attribute information of the retrievable components.
