Abstract:
To comprehensively and systematically reflect the research status and development trends of new generation information technology in the field of engineering safety management, 343 related articles were collected from 2014 to 2024 in the core journals of China National Knowledge Infrastructure and Web of Science core databases, and were visualized and analyzed in terms of the authors of the articles, research institutions, keyword co-occurrence and clustering by using the knowledge mapping tool CiteSpace. The results indicate that research on the application of next-generation information technology in engineering safety management has been steadily deepening, with the number of Chinese and English-language publications gradually increasing over the past decade. Among these, the application of emerging technologies in the field of construction engineering is the most widespread; technical practices focus on risk control and management optimization during the construction phase. Among next-generation information technologies, BIM-related research dominates, followed by the integration of various technologies and the application of artificial intelligence; future research will extend to cutting-edge technologies such as digital twins, large language models, and machine learning, aiming to promote the in-depth application of BIM technology, facilitate the integration and innovation of diverse technologies, and establish a collaborative management system across the entire lifecycle, thereby leading the engineering industry's safety management into a new phase of intelligence and precision.
