Application of Construction Grid Management in Hangzhou West Railway Station Based on 4D-BIM Technology

  • In recent years, China has successively developed and renovated many large railway hubs, such as Xiong′an Station, Qinghe Station, Fengtai Station, etc. These stations have been developed from simple train stations to complex city transport hubs, which shows the characteristics of scaled area, integrated function, and diversified shape. Thus, it demands much higher requirements on EPC. How to eliminate the "Information Island" on the construction site through digitalization has become a research direction. Taking Hangzhou West Railway Station as an example, this paper has introduced 4D-BIM technologies and grid management from four aspects, which are, grid management platform system architecture, grid coding, BIM model grid division, and grid construction management process. This shows the efficiencies during the construction of Hangzhou West Railway Station, and also presents the positive impacts to construction schedule, construction quality, and construction safety.
