Research on Application of Construction Schedule Based on Location Management System

  • The traditional planning method, the Critical Path Method(CPM)is deficient in the management of continuous production flow and resource allocation. Location-based management system (LBMS) can compensate for such deficiencies. Based on actual project cases, this paper analyzed and improved CPM schedule by applying LBMS with the authors' independent development. The result of the study showed that LBMS could establish continuous workflows, balance production rate, optimize resources allocation without much interruptions or affecting project duration. Furthermore, LBMS schedules were optimized with fewer planning elements, hence its flowline graph had a concise and intuitive effect, facilitated communication among all parties.
