Object-oriented Structural BIM Forward Design Solution and Software Implementation

  • Structural BIM forward design faces numerous challenges in practical applications. This study analyzes the current status of structural BIM design software and design models, summarizing the existing problems in forward design, such as the lack of domestic independent software and the failure to accommodate both 2D design habits and 3D design models. Based on these issues, the paper proposes an object-oriented structural BIM forward design solution that incorporates both traditional 2D design practices and the 3D design model represented by Revit. This solution addresses challenges in structural modeling, analysis, calculation, and the creation of construction drawings. The proposed method is implemented through the self-developed domestic software CSWADIEasyBIM. Practical results show that this method not only aligns with 2D drawing habits in structural design but also significantly improves the efficiency and quality of structural BIM forward design. This study provides new development ideas for structural BIM forward design and promotes the application of BIM technology in structural design.
