Design and Implementation of Component Library System Based on BIM

  • The BIM-based component library system is designed to improve the standardization of BIM components and realize the quick query and resource sharing of components. In order to address pain points and difficulties such as the lack of unified storage standards, data permissions, and security risks associated with confidentiality, we build a standardized component library system based on Revit API from the aspects of data standards, data quality, data security and data management. It mainly includes the stages of component creation, component coding, component audit, component encryption and component publishing. This study investigates effective approaches for real-time sharing and centralized control of components to ensure their effectiveness, standardization, reusability while accumulating the company's digital assets.
