Abstract
Wind turbine tower, as typical tall and thin-walled structure, relies primarily on traditional manual inspection and non-destructive testing for safety maintenance, making it challenging to achieve intelligent operation and maintenance management. This paper systematically explores the application of digital technologies such as point clouds and laser scanning, BIM, digital twins, and UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) image-aided inspection in the safety maintenance of tower support structure. It focuses on analyzing the methods and processes of key aspects including data collection and processing, digital model construction, virtual physical model creation, database information development, and the data integration of image and model. By summarizing the application effects and challenges of digital technologies in the safety and durability assessment of wind turbine tower support structure, this study aims to provide practical foundations and operational guidance for the intelligent safety management and digital maintenance of such special structures during their operational phase.
