In-depth Application and Practice of BIM Technology in the Renovation and Reconstruction Project of Changping Shahe Wanda Plaza

  • With the deepening implementation of urban renewal strategies, the renovation of large-scale commercial buildings has become an important approach to enhancing urban commercial vitality. Traditional renovation models face challenges such as difficulties in professional collaboration, numerous design and construction conflicts, and low work efficiency. BIM technology has the core advantages of visualization, parameterization and coordination, and has become an important technical means to solve the problem of commercial building renovation. This paper selects Beijing Changping Shahe Wanda Plaza renovation project as the research object. This study focuses on the fine application of BIM technology in commercial building renovation projects from model basic management to special projects. The results demonstrate that the application of BIM technology improves design quality, construction management, and operational efficiency, significantly enhancing the project's management level. Furthermore, the BIM application path and implementation experience developed in this project can provide a valuable practical paradigm for the implementation of BIM technology in subsequent similar commercial building renovation projects.
