Numerical Simulation Researches on the Wind Loads and Optimization of Building Structures

  • Compare with the wind tunnel experiment, the virtual wind-tunnel simulation has many advantages, such as no experiment model, less design time and less implementation cost. In addition, the virtual wind-tunnel simulation has high accuracy in building's mean wind load and more detail than wind tunnel experiment. The advantages above make wind tunnel technology ideal for pre-selection and optimization of building structure. Taking the life ring of fushun as an example, this paper introduces the advantages of wind tunnel technology in structures' aerodynamic shape and shows results of wind load.
