Abstract: Residential decoration projects possess characteristics of small volume, dependent on designer's scheme for signing, involving numerous professionals and technological links, and uncontrollable project cycle. This paper introduces a villa decoration project team using our independently developed platform by enterprise, 'DIM+', to apply BIM technology during the whole process from conceptual design to completion.Through collecting and sorting out all information generated or existed in different project phases, a decoration information model can be built precisely. Based on the model, the information can be transferred and used in the whole process of the project, and at the same time, multiple information systems can be operated collaboratively, which effectively achieves the BIM technology application in the residential decoration industry.
