Abstract: This paper introduces the development status and development process of the two main modes of "Plugin + Revit" and "Dynamo + Revit". Through the comparison between the two modes in aspects of developers, development base and development complexity, and by analyzing specific cases, the authors conclude that the "Plugin+Revit" mode is suitable for the development of a systematic and universal function, which is the key of one BIM model for multi usages; and that the "Dynamo + Revit" model is suitable for the development of professional functions, which is the key of practical implementation of BIM model application.
