Abstract:
In order to help building design practise to have better coordination between different disciplines and improve design performance during construction drawing phase, this paper investigated the problems in design management and studied the characteristics of Level of Detail (LOD) 350 to analysed the impact of LOD 350 in BIM implementations, through case scenario to discuss impacts of LOD 350 in construction documents design phase and to assess the effectiveness of LOD 350 to improve quality of construction documents delivery.

Abstract:
With the rapid development of China′s urban construction in current stage, the traditional manual surveying and mapping mode has been unable to satisfy the demands of rapidly growing of urban construction land surveying and planning. With the development of modern information technology, AEC industries also have raised the requirements of intelligent mapping and planning. Based on Tilt Photography technology, UAV Real-World 3D modeling can quickly generate Real-World 3D model for conducting intelligent planning of urban construction land to enhance the utilization rate of urban land, and also to promote the construction and development of smart city. In this paper, UAV Real-World 3D modeling technology has been used to conduct intelligent mapping and planning for a University′s Park, to build Real-World 3D model, and to provide intelligent land use scheme. The research results have high values to be applied in the disciplines such as real-estate survey and land use planning.

Curtain wall is a special discipline in AEC industries, The entire life cycle implementation of BIM is going to be a milestone during the innovative development of building curtain wall, especially in the construction of complex curtain wall. This paper has explored the difficulties of BIM-based forward design in many building curtain wall projects, studied the methodologies and processes of BIM-based forward design in current environment, and finally present the implementation process of BIM-based forward design of curtain wall through real cases.

Abstract:
The application of BIM technology is becoming actively important in the field of AEC industries. In recent years, the application numbers of complex special-shaped steel bridge has been increased in China, but during the construction stage, the quantification survey is still mainly using traditional ways. By implementing BIM technology in Wushan Daning River Bridge of Zhengzhou-Wanzhou Railway as an example, this paper introduced a new method of quantification survey of steel structure bridges based on BIM model, developed a set of standardized modeling process of steel structure bridges, using VB language to redevelop CATIA to achieve automatic batch filling of quantification survey forms, thus significantly improved the quantification survey of complex steel structure bridges′ efficiencies and accuracies.

Abstract:
The concept of "Smart City" has been particularly reflected by successfully implemented "Intelligence Construction Site" in Nansha Pearl Bay Youth Palace project. Through combination of technologies (e.g. BIM, IoT, VR, AI, and etc.), an integrated, intelligent and sustainable "Nansha Construction Management Center Intelligence Construction Site" system has been established. This paper has introduced the specific application of the system during the construction stage of Nansha Youth Palace project in the perspective of personnel management, quality management, safety management and environmental protection. This system is aiming to improve management efficiency and to break the "information isolated island", capturing lessens and experiences for the development and the future implementation of intelligence construction site.

Abstract:
With the rapid urbanization process, subways have been increasingly put into usage in many cities. The large load capacities, the large ridership and the closed space of subway is bringing great challenges in emergency management especially in fire emergency management. In this paper, a BIM model of Zhengzhou Huozhan street metro station was built by using Revit, and then import the DXF files into Pyrosim software to conduct fire smoke simulation, set-plane temperature simulation, visibility simulation, fire source smoke detection simulation and fire combustion simulation. Fire hazard simulation based on BIM and Pyrosim can be used to rehearse the entire process of subway fire evacuation and to analyze the relevant indicators, which could provide the guidance for metro station design and fire-fighting equipment′s layout, as well as the emergency measures in the case of fire hazard. Meanwhile, this paper has explored the combination of BIM technology and professional fire hazard simulation software in a theorical way, which verified with examples and indicated that applying those advanced BIM technologies in data sharing and rehearsal simulation is having great potentials.

Abstract:
With the thorough engineering practice of China Construction Eighth Engineering Division, the BIM-based integration management application has achieved remarkable results. On the basis of extensive application of BIM-assisted engineering construction, enterprise has researched and explored the receiving, archiving and retrieving mode of BIM-based digital files, raised the methods and process to realize this mode, built the technical framework of the management system, analyzed the value of BIM digital archives management, improved the enterprise digital file management performance, thus provide a reference for China′s AEC industries.

Abstract:
Lijia Jialing River Bridge is the first beam camber deck bridge in China, which has the novelty in structural design, the complexity in construction and the complication in geological environment. During the construction process, high level BIM model (LOD 400) is developed. BIM technologies have been implemented, for example, integrated analysis, 3D clash detection and visualization helps the review and delivery process to improve the constructability of the bridge. BIM collaborative management platform can be established through integrating BIM, Project Management (PM) and integrated implementation of Internet of Things (IoT). It can uses the mobile terminal and IoT to enable live-time data collection, thus to achieve the collaborative operation between PC and mobile terminal to process the management in schedule, quality and safety, therefore, the performance of Lean Management can be improved. Artificial Intelligence (AI) smart image recognition system based on video streaming has been developed independently to enable the automatic detection of the person if wears helmet and safety vest, thus provides a strong construction supervision in safeties. It has effectively promoted the experience of practical BIM technologies through the exploration and the implementation of BIM technologies in bridge engineering.

Abstract:
Sun Yat-sen University Shenzhen Construction Project, as being a whole campus construction project, its large scale, multiple building functions, and complex construction environment have demanded high requirements in collaborative implementation, data sharing and etc. This project has built the BIM management system in the project level based on the guideline of general BIM implementation policy, which clarifies the responsibilities and accountabilities of each stage. Meanwhile, it enables efficiently using collaborative management platform, "BIM+GIS" regulatory platform, photography by drones and other intelligent construction methods to provide comprehensive assistance during the construction process, thus to guarantee the scheduling of project construction while to improve the efficiencies of project management, as well as to fully achieve the overall objectives which are "green construction, rapid construction, high-quality construction and intelligent construction".

Abstract:
The Beijing New Airport Expressway NO.3 Bid Section is an interchange that spans over the existing sixth ring with structure complexities and many construction difficulties; The schedule for construction is tight and hard to manage. For those difficulties in this project, BIM technology was implemented in this project to explore the application value of BIM technology in highway engineering, to improve project management capabilities, and to archive collaborative management mode based on BIM technology. During the modeling process, the research has proposed a Dynamo-based modeling technique for parameterized irregular shapes and One-click assembly technique. These techniques have solved the problems during modelling the complex interchange, and also have improved the work efficiencies and the model precisions. From the construction technology aspect, these techniques have solved many problems including solve the movement of steel box in small space to across continuous obstacles, detect the position of cross engineering, and optimize the construction process. Meanwhile to use visualization technologies such as VR and AR to further improve the pertinency and interoperability during the delivery process. From the project management aspect, by using BIM technology, it can dynamically analysis the planned schedule and compare with actual schedule. Also, it will impact to the resources allocation through virtual construction, to achieve BIM-based lean collaborative management. Those innovations in this project have increased the values of BIM in expressway construction and have provided references for promoting BIM technologies in future expressway project.

Abstract:
This paper has explored the application of the BIM Technologies in masonry construction by using a case of Tai Kang Tong Ji (Wuhan) hospital project, which explained how to develop the hole reservation in masonry construction, and also explained how to extract the masonry quantity and to guide its construction by using BIM technologies. As a result, it can reduce the secondary transport of masonry materials and improve the efficiencies of construction, which has provided references for other masonry construction projects.

Abstract:
With the rapid development of the economy, there is great an improvement in many disciplines. In recent years, BIM technologies have been widely adopted in the AEC industries under the supporting from national policies. Therefore, universities need to increase the BIM education because the demand for senior level BIM personnel is increasing every year. This paper has investigated the demand for BIM trainings in AEC industries, integrated those circumstances in our university to conclude those experience in BIM education′s innovations and amendments. Through the curriculum innovation of class 2019, BIM technologies has been merged into the relevant courses such as bridge direction, geotechnical, and historical building protection. This can increase the attractiveness of teaching through the integration micro teaching with the visualization characteristics of BIM technologies, hence, the learning interests and teaching performances can be improved. It can increase the BIM education through "Learn by Compete", "Use by Compete", "Real Project in Mini-semester" and "Graduation Project", and this can propose solutions to those problems in universities′ BIM education, which can provide experiences for teachings in Civil Engineering.

Abstract:
With the continuous promotion and application of BIM technologies in the transportation infrastructure industries, digitalized information design has played a more important role. Through the application experience of BIM technology in the design stage of the Dezhou-Shangrao Expressway (G3W), this paper analyzed multi-layer application of BIM technologies during the development of highway engineering design. These implementations are including BIM+GIS design, highway engineering based multi-disciplines design check, component coding system and extension to help improving design qualities and efficiencies. This paper has concluded the application of BIM technologies during the entire process of design phase, which has provided an effective data foundation and reference basis for the life cycle BIM implementations in highway engineering.

Abstract:
Shanghai Oriental Hospital renovation and expansion project is very complicated due to the demand of ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the old building, the large number of mechanical and electrical systems, the difficulty of construction coordination, and the high requirements of operation and maintenance management. The paper summarizes the process and results of the comprehensive application of BIM technology. This paper focuses on three phases of application, i.e. the critical BIM application in construction period; the BIM model transformation across different stages; and the operation & maintenance phase BIM in-depth application. Through the whole process, it delivered a digital twin of the hospital′s new building, which achieves the visualization of the process of the building′s big data and the flexibilities. Finally, it has concluded the problems during the BIM implementations and has forecasted the future perspectives, which offers method to improve the qualities of model delivery, to improve the quality of information, and to expend the scope of the BIM implementations.

Abstract:
With the development of computer and Internet technology, AEC industries is fully entering the digital era. The digital delivery based on the BIM platform is becoming the prevailing trend in project data delivery. This article has discussed the technologies and methods relating to the digital delivery in domestic and foreign AEC industries. The main difficulties of engineering digital delivery are concluded integrated with the characteristics of domestic AEC industries. Therefore, new methods of BIM-based digital delivery of project data is proposed.

Abstract:
Large-scale public exhibition hall buildings have the characteristics of large space, large span, large stories and so on, which makes the complex loading of the building, the large gradient change of the shape, the difficulties in the detail design, and the complexities in the construction, which demand very high requirements during the design and construction phases. This paper using example of Hubei Science and Technology New Museum, which has implemented BIM Technology to solve the acoustic problems in large space during the design phase. Based on the Tekla software, the steel structure has been detailed designed, integrated with technologies in digital constructions such as BIM and QR code, the construction process is visualized, which has improved the construction efficiencies, has reduced the quality control risks, and has provided experience for the construction of large-scale exhibition hall.
