Abstract: Construction phase takes longer time in the whole life circle of buildings, and it's also the most influential phase to the project quality. There are many problems in this phase, leading to heavy information loss and low transmission efficiency during construction. The first part of this paper explains the meaning of information management and current problems in construction project, while the latter part briefly analyzes how to integrate all kinds of information during construction into a model so as to form a 4D information model and serve information management.
