Abstract:
The application of BIM technology is becoming increasingly deepening throughout the industry, but the design of general BIM software is based on building projects and is not suitable for the characteristics of bridge and tunnel structures, making it difficult to complete functions such as parametric modeling of bridge and tunnel structures, complex bridge and tunnel structure modeling, bridge and tunnel structure calculation and analysis. This article is based on the third expansion project of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, using Midas CIM as the main software, Twinmotion and Hongcheng InfraFuser platform as an integrated application of post-processing software. Practice has shown that using Midas CIM to build a system of routes, point families, line families, and assembly families, setting parameterized cross-sections, can efficiently achieve bridge and tunnel structure modeling, complete parameterized modeling, calculation software integration, engineering quantity calculation, drawing output functions etc. Twinmotion is efficiency and high quality in post rendering, while the Hongcheng InfraFuser platform has advantages such as strong integration and lightweight volume in visual delivery. This study uses multiple software to connect the entire process of bridge and tunnel BIM design, and the bridge and tunnel BIM technology methods used can provide reference for applications in related fields.
