Abstract:
The Critical Path Method project management is an advanced management philosophy and approach that prioritizes organizational governance, tightly integrates objective management, process management, and outcome management. Centered on modular organizational governance and templated functional management, it aims to achieve "standardized documentation, unified processes, and consistent practices" throughout the entire project lifecycle, with a focus on controlling critical path milestones at each phase. This methodology emphasizes six core domains across all project stages: project governance, preliminary management, design management, cost management, tendering management, and construction management. It utilizes digital management platforms and digital resource platforms to integrate organizational governance, operational workflows, and digital oversight. By examining multiple projects implemented with the Critical Path Method management system, this paper demonstrates the achievements and value of digital technology integration in various phases and domains, highlighting the system's significant role in improving the quality and efficiency of engineering projects. Furthermore, it focuses on the development of digital resource platforms and explores future directions for enhancing CPM-based management systems.
