Abstract: Based on the actual demand of BIM application in engineering project management, a new integrated solution and framework for engineering project management supported by BIM was advanced. Web-based system for project integrated management was developed through associating BIM entity with distributed information and information querying. With seamless integration with 4D construction management system, Bi-directional links between BIM model and management information were built, enabling BIM-based engineering project management. This research provide a new method and technology for applying BIM in engineering construction, application results proved the feasibility and effectiveness of the solution and system.
