Abstract: Nowadays, the scale of worldwide manufacturing and engineering construction are roughly the same, while the investment habits for these two industries about information technology are qulite different. With the development of information technology in construction industry at home and abroad, 3 D software in the design field has also some development; this paper focuses on discussing the application of 3D model in the field of engineering.
