Abstract: The architecture presentation and construction costs of a long span steel roof are considerably affected by the selection of its structural form. This article discussed the creation of an exhibition centre roof structure. It further explored the comparison and optimization of two different long span space structures. The method of designing the architectural outline by simulating its structural load path could be established as an example for similar structure in the future.
