Regulating the basic terms involved in the process of construction industry informationization can promote information and technology exchanges among various construction departments and fields. Furthermore, it can lay the foundation for the development of informationization work. This paper describes the background, principles and content of "Standard for basic terms of information technology applications in construction industry", and hopes to provide services for the application and implementation of the Standard.
