BIM technology has become increasingly prominent in the construction industry. Although residential building is not as amplex. as public building, the high degree of standardization also reflect the advantages of BIM design from another side. This paper reviews a commercial housing project designed by BIM in the whole process. On the basic of the project design, it trys to elaborate the strengths and weaknesses of BIM's usage in residential design.
