Analysis of Road Waterlogging Based on Numerical Simulation

Based on Shantou Tagangwei Municipal Engineering, an implementation path from the design of storm water pipe network engineering to road waterlogging simulation is explored in this paper. 3D models of rainwater pipe networks and terrain surface are built through BIM technology, and are converted into flood simulation software for numerical simulations. The results include those ponding areas, the depth and time of ponding at different storm return periods, which show that the ponding areas are basically fixed, but the time of ponding will increase with the increase of rainfall return period. This research provides the basis for the follow research of early warning on road waterlogging.
