In recent years, building information model (BIM) has not only developed rapidly in theory, but has also been widely used in the project practice.However, the combination of BIM technology and project management research and practice is still relatively rare.In this paper, based on the characteristics of the project management and the BIM technology application, and treating BIM as a kind of management environment, the project management process is explored as BIM applied to the traditional project management process.In the meanwhile, the BIM application process in project management is analyzed in this paper.And the key problems occurred when BIM is applied to the project management are discussed.
