As a large-scale infrastructure, railway projects not only possesses characteristics of long construction period and large resource consumption, but also involves more complex construction techniques than construction projects, as well as facing the tests of natural environment. It is the future development trend of railway engineering to apply the BIM technology in railway construction. This paper introduces the application of BIM technology in Qingdao West Railway Station of Qinglian Railway, including: organization structure, hardware and software construction, deepening design, BIM + GIS application, and project management process based on BIM collaborative office cloud platform. The application effect of BIM is demonstrated in this paper. The results show that the application of BIM has brought significant effect to improve the efficiency and efficiency of railway industry.

The Jinan-Qinghai high-speed railway is an important part of the national planning of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" passenger transport corridor, and is also the "backbone" of the "three horizontal and five vertical" high-speed railway network in Shandong Province. The station buildings of this project possess the characteristics of novel structure, heavy construction task and complicated pipeline construction. Through the BIM application, the project is aiming at improving all-round project management and control, and achieving fine management as well. This paper introduces the application of BIM technology Zibo North Railway Station and Weifang North Railway Station, specifically, in installation deepening design of pipeline, curtain wall and indoor decoration. The BIM platform of Jinan-Qinghai High-speed Railway is applied to realize multi-professional integration, safety and quality management, cost control, change management, and etc. Latest VR technology, 3D scanning technology, intelligent site system and other supporting projects is also introduced assisting projects to complete the construction task with high quality and efficiency. Through the application of BIM technology, the project comprehensively improves the project management level, precisely controls the project cost, simplifies the project management process, realizes the comprehensive management and control of the whole life cycle of the project, and provides a reference implementation scheme for the application of BIM technology in the subsequent construction of railway station building projects.

With the advances in construction techniques, safety management of construction site is facing huge challenges. The safety of the construction site is essential for civilized construction and the interests of construction workers. This paper analyzes the security problems of the construction site, and based on BIM technology, an appropriate plan is proposed. With the advantages of BIM technology in security monitoring processes, construction site layout and other complex construction, security communication, hazard early prevention, safety management processes improvement, real-time on-site dynamic control and rational arrangement are realized.

2015,7(6):37-42. doi: 10.16670/j.cnki.cn11-5823/tu.2015.06.08
In this paper, the problems in the progress management of engineering construction projects are analyzed, and the thinking mode of the combination of BIM-based virtual construction technology and construction project schedule management is put forward. The key problems in the progress management are solved by using PKPM construction management platform. Based on PKPM construction management platform in the construction of the application, through the comparison with the traditional construction project schedule management, and fine management, visual display, progress simulation and engineering analysis, this paper expounds the 4D virtual construction technology in the construction schedule management with the real BIM platform as the basis, which makes the discussion more convincing. This paper is based on the actual engineering test, which shows that the virtual construction technology based on BIM will have a positive impact on the development of engineering project management in China.

Prefabrication technology is an advanced installation model which is advocated in mechanical-electrical industry. As an important measure of the mechanical-electrical construction enterprises′ advanced level, it becomes more and more popular in construction industry. Adopting the technology which combined BIM with production line of air duct prefabrication for air duct building project can improve the precision and production efficiency of prefabrication figure. It can also deepen the procession of air duct prefabrication. As a result of adopting this technology, we can further improve the installation quality of air duct prefabrication, shortenting work period and saving costs. This technology improves the management level of construction enterprise, and providing a new direction for the development of prefabrication.

Construction phase takes longer time in the whole life circle of buildings, and it's also the most influential phase to the project quality. There are many problems in this phase, leading to heavy information loss and low transmission efficiency during construction. The first part of this paper explains the meaning of information management and current problems in construction project, while the latter part briefly analyzes how to integrate all kinds of information during construction into a model so as to form a 4D information model and serve information management.

Shanghai Riverside Passageway & River-Crossing Tunnel Project is a major Shanghai municipal project with complex traffic system, various types of structures and relative high design difficulty. In this project, we propose a whole life-cycle BIM application process, and we apply BIM technology from general design to specific design in all disciplines. We create design components catalog for municipal transportation projects, and conduct secondary development based on Dassault Systeme 3D Experience platform, which contributes to multiple-disciplinal rapid modeling and parametric design, as well as scenario optimization and design development based on the BIM model. Finally, for the metallic structure, we propose the solution from scenario design, analysis, and optimization to drawing, which lays the foundation for future digital manufacturing.
