Comprehensive Application of BIM Technology in Beijing Zhongguancun Technology Park-Fengtai Innovation Center

Beijing Zhongguancun Technology Park-Fengtai Innovation Center Project is a high-rise building integrating government office and international business, with a total construction area of 580000 square meters.It has the huge engineering volume, the long construction period and the complex scale of electromechanical pipelines.The complicated construction of curtain wall and landscape is also the feature and difficulty of this project.BIM technology for this project covers the entire life cycle of the building from pre-design, construction to post-operation stage.The main application points of BIM technology are including collaborative management platform, 3D drawing review, electromechanical integrated, construction simulation and the VR application for the key area of hardbound model to insure the successful implementation of the project.In addition, these applications can shorten the construction period, reduce costs, and create a quality building.

BIM Application in Construction Stage of Wanjiali Power Shield Tunnel Project in Changsha

The rapid development of construction technology has made the BIM technology increasingly influential during the construction stage of projects. In views of the construction characteristics and difficulties of the 220kV power tunnel project of Wanjiali Road in Changsha, the first power shield tunnel in Hunan province, this paper explores the application of BIM technology in the construction stage by referring the innovative BIM applications. The research on BIM technology application is carried out mainly from three aspects of the application of basic function, optimization function and construction management. There have been some applications of BIM technology concluded with significant popularization value, respectively aiming at guiding the field construction, optimizing the construction technology and site layout, and controlling the linear deviation of small radius section of shield tunnel. The application of BIM technology in this project has achieved good results in many areas including quality, safety, progress, construction technology, social benefits, personnel training, and etc., receiving favorable comments by all communities. The research also provides reference and valuable experience for the application of the BIM technology in the field of shield tunnel construction in the future.

Application and Discussion of BIM+FM Technology—Taking the Zhongjian Square Project as Example

BIM (Building information modeling) is one of the most advanced technologies in the building industry, whose value in the design and construction stages has been agreed by increasing number of companies.However, BIM is not widely applied during the operation and maintenance phases, and the value has not been identified clearly due to various of reasons.This paper explores the BIM+FM (facility management) technologies by studying Zhongjian Square project which applied BIM+FM technologies such as space management, assets management and building systems analysis during operation and maintenance phases.
