Exploration of BIM Application in Large Construction Projects
Li Jiulin, Wang Yong
2014,6(5):61-65.
Generally, large construction projects in China have the features of huge investment, complex shapes, tight construction schedules, etc.In face of increasingly complex and diverse construction projects, the traditional project management pattern can't adapt to the current demand. The rapid development of information technology such as BIM provides a new way and method for project management.BIM research and application of Beijing Urban Construction Group can be traced back to the national stadium for the application of 4D system and Multi-user Collaborative Work System.Later, in the Kunming new airport and Beijing Inter IKEA Shopping Center and other projects, the depth and breadth of BIM applications have been extended, and it has obtained a good application effect.

2016,8(5):15-20. doi: 10.16670/j.cnki.cn11-5823/tu.2016.05.03
Large-scale cultural tourism projects usually have a huge amount of investment, complex site and rich in architectural form, diverse recreational facilities and other features. BIM is usually adopted to solve the increasingly complex technical and management issues. Wanda Group began to explore BIM in the design, construction and other fields of application mode in large-scale cultural tourism projects in 2012, and gradually worked out a practical method to enhance the design and construction quality, optimize project cost etc. In this paper, we will introduce the main points of BIM based integrated management, procedures, standards and the platforms in Wanda cultural tourism projects. At last, a BIM based Integrated Management in cultural tourism project is introduced.

Research on IFC-based Data Description Standards in Construction
Wang Yong, Zhang Jianping, Hu Zhenzhong
2011,3(4):9-15.
The Industry Foundation Classes(IFC) developed by International Alliance for Interoperability(IAI) has been known as a common product model for data exchange and model sharing. In architecture design, entity types and property sets in IFCs are nearly enough to meet the needs. However, in the construction, entity types are insufficient for data description. Therefore, we analyses the demand for data description in construction in mainland China, and extend the IFC model. At last, we test the extension model by some real projects and give some suggestions for further research.

IFC-based Model Description for Structural Working Drawing
Wang Yong, Zhang Jianping, Li Jiulin
2014,6(4):30-35.
Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) has been known as an international common product model for Building Information Model (BIM) exchange and sharing in building field. With the purpose of solving the problem of model sharing between structural design and other application followed, the IFC is introduced into the structural working drawing field. Combining the demand for data description, an IFC extension model was established through entity extension and property extension. The extension model was verified by BIM-based structural drawing design prototype system in a test project. The research shows that extended IFCs is suitable for BIM model description in structural working drawing. Automatic model exchange is realized between structural working drawing and quantity survey by the extended IFCs.

Exploration of BIM Management Mechanism in Collaborative Design
Wang Yong, Li Jiulin, Zhang Jianping
2014,6(6):64-69.
Collaborative design is the management support of BIM-based engineering design. With the purpose of solving the problem of model management in collaborative design, we make comprehensive application of BIM model management, user management, conflict resolution, the incremental model of transmission, user communication and etc. The research shows that using the integrated management of BIM model, we can build up a web-based collaborative design environment, which can improve the engineering design quality and efficiency significantly. The BIM management mechanism in collaborative design can provide reference for domestic platform development of collaborative design management.
