Application of BIM Technology in Hyperbolic Concrete Shell Roof Construction

BIM technology used by Longping Rice Museum construction process plays a very good guiding role in the construction site layout, hyperbolic shell concrete roof formwork, quantity statistics and construction survey. At the same time, the use of iBan mobile application technology realizes project management in a wider range and in a quicker and more transparent and efficient way.Through the application of BIM technology, the construction period is shortened, the cost is saved, and better social and economic benefits are obtained.

Problems and Processing Methods for Data Transmission from Revit to STAAD.Pro

It is common at present in sutructrual designing area that the models built in the computing softwares are transmitted into the BIM softwares, which reduces the BIM structural designing efficiency compared with adopting AutoCAD. It is necessary for structural design and plug-in development to create a structural model in BIM software and then to transmit into computing software. This paper takes the transmission of a model of frame and bent structure from Revit to STAAD.Pro as an example, to study some noticeable issues in Revit modeling and writing Revit data into*.std file, based on which we propose corresponding processing method and the improvemnt suggestions for Revit, STAAD.Pro & SSDD.

Software in Concrete Reinforcement Structures Based on Revit

The key point for structural specialty to participate in BIM design lies in the efficient and qualified data exchange between BIM platform software and structural analysis software, as well as generating qualified engineering drawings. Based on Revit, the most popular BIM software in the construction industry, there are only countable domestic companies in China that have developed the structural aided design software, namely, YJK, Tsz soft, Enwei soft and GSRevit. This paper compares the products of these four companies, and also briefly introduces the current situation of other relevant software companies in China, which may contribute to the decision-making for the structural engineers in BIM design.
