BIM Opens the New Future of Civil Aviation Construction——BIM Application in BOAO Airport

As the key supporting project of BOAO Forum for Asia 2016, BOAO Airport was built in 10 months. The construction speed was double of the domestic similar projects. Considering the short period and the high orientation, the project used BIM technology to obtain high quality and performance, applied data reference for the airport construction under BIM times.

With a case study of the application of the steel bar in the second highway project of Runcheng, this paper explores the reinforced lofting, processing and optimization during green construction. With the social and economical development as well as advancement of science and technology, cities in China are continuously expanding. There come the problems of a large population, too many high-rise buildings and an increasing demand for building materials, especially rebar. The government initiates the green construction concept, which calls for energy saving, land saving, material saving and water saving. Material saving is the priority, and rebar is the main building material, which becomes the main factor for construction cost. Therefore, both parties attach great importance to the accurate calculation of rebar, and professional rebar processing and delivery is essential for material saving during green construction.

BIM Application in the Construction of Stiff Columns ofWuhan Greenland Center

Wuhan Greenland Center is the highest building under construction in China. Its stiff column steel framework and rebar overlaps each other in a very complicated way, the operation space for binding the rebar is small and the construction faces many challenges, and therefore, the two dimensional drawings can hardly show the structures of the rebar and the steel framework. By applying BIM, the project simulates the construction process of distributing and binding the rebar, solve the problems beforehand, and uses the optimized binding plan of BIM.
