Lu Jianming, Chen Ke
2009, 1(2): 1-6.
[Abstract](879) [FullText HTML] (842) [PDF 452KB](7)
Abstract:
The cable-stayed bridge is more complex structure in bridge.Because of its pylon and cable, cablestayed bridge is state of high hyperstatic structure.Analysis for cable-stayed bridge used 2D or 3D beam element model routinely.Only few researcher used 3D solid element and 2 nodes link element to set up full bridge element model of cable-stayed bridge for structure analysis. It is impossible to simulate accurately about beam rotation rigidity, shearing anelasticity and eccentric load action etc.It is difficult to get calculating results of survey point in space position when load test for cable-stayed bridge under random vehicle arrange action. This pepper introduce to make use of software of Analysis System of Bridge Testing (Chinese name abbr.QLJC), which is developed by RIOH (Research Institute of Highway) of China, to set up full bridge element fine model of cable-stayed bridge with 3D link and solid element.3D solid element is isoparametric element with 12 nodes, which is more fit for bridge structure of slim structure with small size on cross section and large size on longitudinal section.Girder and pylon of cable-stayed bridge are meshed with 3D solid element.Cable is meshed with 2 nodes 3D link element. Girder, pylons and cables are connected with restricted equation of node displacements. This is a feasible spatial analysis method for cable-stayed bridge. Some calculating result of static and dynamic analysis will be put out in this pepper.

[Abstract](898) [FullText HTML] (933) [PDF 504KB](14)
Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to clarify the possibilities and methods of applying the IFC standard, the mainstream standard of BIM technology, in the cost estimation in China. Though analyzing the existing standards and the IFC standard, the problems for using the IFC standard are identified and the solutions are explored. A cost estimation information requirement model which includes seven aspects of information was established. Each aspect of the information is expressed by using IFC to verify the completeness of the IFC standard. As a conclusion, the IFC standard can be used to express the information for the cost estimation in China as a whole and the established model can be applied in the development of software for cost estimation of construction.

Abstract:
The development of virtual reality (VR) technology makes it possible for users to improve the understanding of dangerous scenes from computational simulations.A prototype system-AutoEscape based on the integration of virtual reality visualization and numerical simulation, was developed for human evacuation in fire scenarios.FDS was selected to simulate the fire growth and an evacuation computational engine was designed and implemented based on GIS technology.A VR representation module was constructed, which develops a comprehensive representation for the distributed scenario variables according to numerical results. The case study indicates that the system can help users to form a deep full-scale understanding of fire evacuations, and therefore provide a virtual training environment for emergency evacuation drills and fire rescue command.

[Abstract](856) [FullText HTML] (902) [PDF 1419KB](9)
Abstract:
At the early stage of architectural design, architects used to select visualized 3D design software to represent their ideas. This kind of software is easy to use for creating any free form. At this time, the building model has rough size. After getting an initial idea, architects do performance analysis for the model in real environment and then get a more exact detailed model. Information passed from conceptual design to construction documentation, this is exactly core value of Building Information Modeling. This paper discussed a 3 parts process on how to use Autodesk Revit Architecture to realize visualized model, parameter adjust and construction documentation. The first part'design and adjust parameterized model'is focus on form creation; how to visualize model and adjust model by qualitative and quantitative sides. The second part texturized surface explores dividing free form surface with grids and customization grids with 3D components. The third part describes converting the form model to building components and then finishing the construction design.

[Abstract](811) [FullText HTML] (584) [PDF 753KB](9)
Abstract:
Ice shedding on transmission lines will result in the longitudinal unbalanced forces on the adjacent transmission towers, which significantly threatens the safety of transmission lines. The methodologies to simulate the transmission line system, ice-accretion, and ice-shedding are developed using finite element method. The finite element model of a nine-span transmission line is built and ice-shedding on transmission line with 15 mm ice thickness is simulated. Then the responses of the transmission line system due to ice-shedding from the conductor and ground wire are obtained. Results from this study show that ice-shedding causes large-amplitude jump of the transmission line and significant impact on the adjacent transmission towers.Meanwhile, the longitudinal unbalanced fo rces induced by simultaneous ice-shedding from the ground wire are greater than those from the conductor.
