Comprehensive Application of BIM Technology in Beijing Zhongguancun Technology Park-Fengtai Innovation Center

Beijing Zhongguancun Technology Park-Fengtai Innovation Center Project is a high-rise building integrating government office and international business, with a total construction area of 580000 square meters.It has the huge engineering volume, the long construction period and the complex scale of electromechanical pipelines.The complicated construction of curtain wall and landscape is also the feature and difficulty of this project.BIM technology for this project covers the entire life cycle of the building from pre-design, construction to post-operation stage.The main application points of BIM technology are including collaborative management platform, 3D drawing review, electromechanical integrated, construction simulation and the VR application for the key area of hardbound model to insure the successful implementation of the project.In addition, these applications can shorten the construction period, reduce costs, and create a quality building.

This paper describes the BIM application in construction in Yunnan Science and Technology Museum project. BIM application reduced rework in construction and improved the efficiency and resource utilization. It also used to verify construction techniques and processes and optimize the construction program. Finally, self-developed 4D, 5D construction management platform was developed for the project schedule and cost control.

As the key supporting project of BOAO Forum for Asia 2016, BOAO Airport was built in 10 months. The construction speed was double of the domestic similar projects. Considering the short period and the high orientation, the project used BIM technology to obtain high quality and performance, applied data reference for the airport construction under BIM times.

In recent years, BIM technology, as an increasingly sophisticated technical solutions and management tool, has received more and more attentions in engineering design in China. By building a BIM collaborative management platform, this paper outlines the comprehensive application of BIM technology during the design stage of SongZhuang Town 0301-1201 plot F3 other multi-functional land project, which not only saves time and economic costs, but also trained a large number of BIM personnel for the future. This engineering construction project has provided valuable success experience.

Wuhan Greenland Center Project is the world's third-tallest building with 636 meters.The underground structure has been completed and the main building structure is under rapid construction.During the construction, BIM is playing a key role.This paper introduces the method of setting the jacking formwork system based on BIM technology, and solves problems of BIM application to vertical transportation, turnover materials management, pipeline optimization and steel structure erection.BIM technology makes the installation of the tower crane lifting formwork platform go on smoothly and guarrantees the construction progress on the ground core tube structure.

Benefit Analysis of BIM Technology Applied in the Public-Private-Partnership Projects

The Public-Private-Partnership projects have been greatly developed in recent years. Generally, in ourcountry, the role of public partnership is always undertaken by the government. Therefore, the project is gaining both the advantages of the policy and the technical and financial support of the social professional enterprises. However, the PPP project also rises high requirements on cost control in theconstruction, operation and maintenance process. Hence, the cost transparency, and visualization and simplicity of management will all be the key points to the success of the PPP project.This paper mainly discusses the application strategiesof BIM technology in PPP project, and the economic benefits of the application.

Taking BIM Applications in Lanzhou West Railway project for example, this article discussed some BIM Application such as construction process, engineering difficulties, solutions and specialized applications in the train station building, which could be reference for similar projects.By solving difficulties of this project, which included civil engineering calculation, secondary deepening steel roof truss design and construction hoisting simulation, level of specialized applications would be improved. BIM would played significant role in "Three Controls, Management and Coordination" and Green Construction.

Gui'an bonded area in Guizhou province is the second integrated free trade zone. The planning area is 2.2 km2, with an seine area of 2.1 km2. This project is a comprehensive service building in the free trade zone. BIM technology was carried out when the project started. This paper mainly introduces the application of BIM technology in the high support of the composite service building to solve the problems encountered in the implementation and demonstration of the original support scheme and to ensure the smooth, safe and punctual completion of the tall formwork for the entire project.

BIM Technology Appliation in the Changjiang River Media Building Project Phases(1st)

BIM technology were introduced in this paper in the present stage of building project in Wuhan Changjiang river media building application.As a super-tall large public projects, the internal pipeline intensive and high headroom requirement for space. Many problems showed in large span steel structure assembled lifting construction technology and process scheme. By BIM technology, we used information model for collision check and export pipeline project integrated configuration optimization drawings, safety of construction site project plan presentation, as well as to the large span steel girder hoisting schemes such as visual simulation demonstration, further strengthen the guidance of BIM technology for site construction, ensure the management of the construction safety and quality control.

BIM Application in the Construction of Stiff Columns ofWuhan Greenland Center

Wuhan Greenland Center is the highest building under construction in China. Its stiff column steel framework and rebar overlaps each other in a very complicated way, the operation space for binding the rebar is small and the construction faces many challenges, and therefore, the two dimensional drawings can hardly show the structures of the rebar and the steel framework. By applying BIM, the project simulates the construction process of distributing and binding the rebar, solve the problems beforehand, and uses the optimized binding plan of BIM.
