Abstract:
Steel structure processing map is basis for components processing in steel structure processing plants. At present, dimensioning of processing map mainly relies on manual adjustments, which occupy more than 50% of detail design workload. Automatic dimensioning can improve the efficiency of the generation of processing map. Template-based automatic dimensioning technology of steel structure processing map is researched and the structure of automatic dimensioning template is analyzed through the dimensioning characteristics of processing map. The content of automatic dimensioning template is divided into five parts: component type management, view type management, dimensioning direction determination, dimensioning point selection, and dimensioning line style management. The design method of automatic dimensioning template is analyzed by the applications in Advance Steel and dimensioning plug-in of Tekla. The processing maps generated by customized dimensioning template meet the design requirement, with no need for manual adjustments.

Abstract:
BIM technology has the characteristics of visualization and simulation. Its application in engineering detailed design and construction management on the site is more and more extensive. Based on BIM technology, The application value of geological simulation and construction organization simulation in the construction of deep foundation pit engineering is also gradually prominent. In order to solve the problems of complex engineering geological conditions, narrow construction site, various support forms and tight construction period, BIM technology is applied in the construction of underground works of the project. Firstly, the original data such as geological survey report and borehole are imported into Bentley codes. The geological body model is created by the combination of Bentley platform and the Empirical Bayesian Kriging method (EBK). Secondly, based on coupling geological model and pile foundation model, the theoretical length of cast-in-place pile can be checked and derived by interpolation method. The reasonable control of the pile length in site pile construction can be guided according to the above method. Combined with the application and verification of practical engineering, the research results show that the application of geological simulation and site layout simulation based on BIM can effectively solve the problems such as pile length control and construction organization in the construction process of complex geological and underground engineering. The quality of the engineering can be improved, and the construction period can also be shorted.

Abstract:
As China start the new journey of 14th Five-Years-Plan, AEC industries also need to act in an innovative way. The growing of super high-rise buildings in cities promotes the development of underground spaces, which results in expansion and deepening of excavation of foundation pit. For keeping the safety during the construction and to minimize the risks, it adopts the method of "pile + internal support" as a way of retaining and protection of foundation excavation. It is quite difficult to use CAD to deliver the project design because there consists multiple complex structure. Through adopting Revit to create parametric 3D components, it cannot only comprehensively visualize project design, but can also quickly make the modification in modelling, quantification, and construction documents. As a results, the quality and the efficiencies of design can be increased.
